Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese blend to which toasted and puffed rice grains are added to green tea leaves. Its name means "brown rice tea" in Japanese. It is usually produced in the fall in preparation for winter. This can be explained by the greatly comforting aspect of this infusion due to its roasted taste.
